Works with fresh and fixed tissue for histologic and immune‑histologic processing and handling. Coordinates and prioritizes laboratory activities.

• Provides assistance in specimen processing with chemicals.
• Organizes slides and blocks.
• Assists in staining of tissue sections.
• Prepares solutions and reagents in accordance with standard procedures.
• Uses microscope to collect images from stained slides.
• Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Required Education and Experience
:
High School diploma or GED, and 12 months of related laboratory experience.

• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to prioritize work
• Basic computer skills

• Ability to move or lift up to 20 pounds

• May be exposed to biohazardous materials, blood borne pathogens, or chemicals.
