The Stylist will engage with guests, consult on hair‑care needs, and recommend products and services to deliver a complete, high‑quality guest experience.

The Stylist is responsible for engaging with guests, consulting on hair‑care needs, and recommending products and services. The Stylist delivers quality professional services with a focus on the guest’s total look and supports the Experience Manager (EM) and Assistant Services Manager (ASM) through performance, people, and process goals.

• Performance: Perform hair services (design, cutting, coloring, texturing, treatments, updos, blowouts, extensions, makeup, ear piercing). Meet or exceed sales and productivity goals, demonstrate business acumen, conduct product demonstrations, and support in‑store events and promotions.
• People: Develop guest relationships, demonstrate high customer‑service standards, serve walk‑in guests promptly, collaborate with skin therapists and retail team, and maintain the Ulta Beauty guest loyalty program.
• Process: Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty policies, follow safety and sanitation procedures, maintain booking systems, communicate supply needs, maintain store operational standards, adhere to dress code, and protect company assets.

• Education: Cosmetology license.
• Experience: Previous salon experience is preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in salon techniques, use of equipment and chemicals, ability to recommend and sell products, strong communication, teamwork, and client‑relationship building.
• Special Position Requirements: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Frequent mobility during shift.
• Continuous lifting or moving up to 10 lbs.
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, twisting, and crouching.
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.
