We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Fraud Analyst to join our Compliance team within the precious metals industry. This role is responsible for identifying, investigating, and preventing fraudulent activity related to the purchase, sale, and movement of precious metals products such as gold, silver, platinum, and palladium.
The ideal candidate is self-initiated, analytical, and proactive, with exceptional attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills. This position requires the ability to analyze complex transactions, recognize patterns of fraud, and collaborate across departments to mitigate financial risk while supporting a secure and trusted customer experience.
A Day in the Life of a Fraud Analyst- Monitor and review customer transactions, payment activity, and account behavior to identify potential fraud or suspicious activity.
- Investigate flagged transactions related to credit card fraud, identity theft, chargebacks, account takeovers, and payment fraud within the precious metals trading environment.
- Conduct detailed transaction analysis including order patterns, shipping activity, payment verification, and customer history.
- Document investigative findings clearly and accurately in internal case management systems.
- Communicate professionally with internal teams such as Customer Service, Compliance, Payments, and Operations to resolve fraud-related issues.
- Proactively identify emerging fraud trends specific to high-value commodities and bullion transactions and recommend preventative controls.
- Review and verify customer identity, payment methods, and order details to ensure legitimacy before order approval or shipment.
- Support dispute resolution and chargeback investigations by preparing thorough documentation and evidence.
- Maintain awareness of fraud schemes targeting e-commerce, financial transactions, and high-value goods.

- An associate degree in accounting or finance is preferred or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of experience in fraud analysis, risk management, payments, or financial crime prevention.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative in identifying issues and driving investigations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret transaction data and identify suspicious patterns.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial and customer information.
- Experience in precious metals, commodities trading, financial services, or e-commerce fraud prevention.
- Familiarity with chargebacks, payment gateways, and card-not-present fraud.
- Experience with fraud detection tools, transaction monitoring systems, or case management platforms.
- Knowledge of AML (Anti-Money Laundering) concepts or financial compliance practices.
