Senior Marketing Accountant

$80 - $95 /hour, depending on experience

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Senior Marketing Accountant to join their team! Are you ready to make a significant impact in the oil and gas industry? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Marketing Accountant who will support the downstream marketing activities of a leading oil and gas affiliate. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely accounting for crude oil marketing transactions, including netback calculations, crude settlement, and month‑end close processes.

With the potential for contract extension, this position offers a dynamic work environment with onsite work and remote flexibility on Fridays.

• Prepare and review netback calculations for crude oil sales
• Analyze variances and explain significant fluctuations
• Coordinate and execute crude oil settlement processes
• Validate volumes, pricing, and deductions
• Resolve discrepancies with marketing, operations, and counter parties
• Perform month‑end close activities for marketing accounting
• Ensure accurate recording of marketing transactions
• Prepare and analyze financial reports related to marketing activities
• Support management with ad hoc analysis and reporting

• Experience in oil and gas marketing accounting
• Proficiency in netback calculations and crude settlement
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to perform month‑end close activities

• Experience with financial reporting and analysis
• Knowledge of industry‑specific accounting standards
