Financial Analyst, Risk Manager/Analyst, Banking & Finance
Provide support in the on-going credit evaluation of existing and prospective customers. The Credit Analyst analyzes the financial health of commercial borrowers and is responsible for gathering and reviewing credit information making recommendations for credit lines based on required criteria. The Credit Analyst interacts with a variety of professionals and represents the bank in interactions with clients and other professionals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Serve as a point of contact for customers, Loan Officers, and other professionals to discuss potential SBA credit requests and provide guidance on SBA loan structures and requirements
- Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money
- Preparing financial analysis and financial ratio analysis
- Preparing industry research
- Underwrite credit requests to the standards of bank policy and procedures, as well as SBA SOP
- Review loan memorandums within Banc First and provide additional underwriting to ensure the memorandum meets SBA standards.
- Research, identification, and development of loan opportunities
- Prepare term sheets for credit requests
- Prepare annual Loan Reviews for SBA loans within the Commercial Capital portfolio, inclusive of needed financial analysis
- Maintain accurate and up to date tracking of all credit applications and participate in weekly production meetings to discuss progress, priorities, and outstanding items. Refer relevant customers to other Banc First service providers (Insurance, Trust, Merchant Services, etc.), if not done so by the Loan Officer

REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Agribusiness, or Agricultural Economics
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates an understanding of credit management, credit operations and commercial lending
- Ability to perform in a highly sensitive environment and maintain confidentiality
- High level of attention to detail, with strong problem solving and organization skills
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel
- Complete all required compliance training by established deadlines
- Constant use of computer screens and reading of reports
- Ability to operate a computer keyboard, multi-line telephone, photocopier, scanner and facsimile
- Regularly required to sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk, see or hear
- Intermittently standing, stooping, bending at the waist, walking, kneeling or crouching to file materials
- Regularly lift and/or move and carry up to 5 pounds
