Overview
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides strategic leadership and oversight for all financial operations of the Agency. This role manages financial planning, budgeting, accounting, audits, cash management, and regulatory compliance while ensuring sound internal controls and efficient processes. The CFO advises the Executive Director and Board, leads the Finance team, and ensures transparency, accuracy, and effectiveness in all financial activities.
Essential Functions- Directs all finance-related operations, including accounting, budgeting, cash management, audits, tax, purchasing, and facilities functions.
- Develops financial reports, forecasts, and performance summaries for the Executive Director and Board of Trustees.
- Oversees compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations; implements new policies and procedures.
- Conducts cost analyses and identifies opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction.
- Develops and updates financial procedures, manuals, and training materials.
- Supervises Finance staff, providing direction, evaluation, and performance management.
- Prepares agency-wide annual budget and manages Finance team budget.
- Coordinates audits, prepares draft financial statements, and ensures timely submission of regulatory reports.
- Maintains strong relationships with banks and financial institutions while safeguarding internal controls.
- Represents the Agency in public meetings, seminars, and stakeholder engagements.
- Participates in strategic planning and development of business plans.
- Leads and manages supervisors and/or finance personnel.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, assigning work, evaluating performance, and resolving issues in accordance with policies and laws.
- Expertise in governmental and bond accounting.
- Strong knowledge of finance principles, budgeting, reporting, and financial controls.
- Ability to interpret regulations, prepare financial statements, implement accounting methods, and manage audits.
- Strong analytical, supervisory, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting systems, spreadsheets, and word-processing tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- 6–8 years of financial management experience; governmental accounting preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
- Valid driver's license and bondable.

Description:
$153,608 - $189,058
