Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

Description

We are looking for a dedicated Controller to join a growing team in Oklahoma City, OK. This role is essential for overseeing financial operations within a manufacturing/construction environment, ensuring accurate cost accounting and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing accounting processes and a strong ability to analyze and reconcile financial data.

Responsibilities:

- Manage manufacturing cost accounting processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of cost data.

- Oversee month-end close procedures, including preparation and review of financial statements.

- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring data integrity and compliance.

- Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.

- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to verify financial information and resolve discrepancies.

- Handle bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between financial records and bank statements.

- Perform credit card reconciliations to monitor transactions and maintain accountability.

- Collaborate on project accounting tasks to track costs and optimize financial outcomes.

- Provide financial insights and support to operations teams to drive informed decision-making.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies in all financial processes.

Requirements

- Proven experience in manufacturing, construction or project based accounting

- Proficiency in handling month-end close processes and financial reporting.

- Strong knowledge of general ledger management and reconciliation practices.

- Ability to prepare and analyze journal entries with a high degree of accuracy.

- Expertise in balance sheet, bank, and credit card reconciliations.

- Familiarity with project accounting principles and practices.

- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required

- MBA or CPA preferred
