Complex Loan Specialist

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Create and update manual interest accrual spreadsheets via Excel to reconcile to monthly billing statements.
• Create and reconcile spreadsheets via Excel for manual and automated nonuse fees.
• Assist with project management and implementation related to manual interest and fee accruals.
• Monthly SBA reporting.
• Review and update relevant procedures and training materials for the team as necessary.
• Peer review of lead bank notice creation and wires for sold loans.
• Assist with Servicing Department day‑to‑day workload as time allows, including:
• Payment posting.
• Rate changes.
• Research cases.
• Identify and assist with process improvements.

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field with at least one year of commercial loan servicing experience preferred.
• Relevant experience, such as, but not limited to, auditing, financial document preparation, bookkeeping and accounting may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Ability and desire to learn, grow and develop professionally.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written and oral communication skills are required.
• Ability to make sound decisions and produce great work under general or limited supervision.
• Excellent working knowledge of more complex commercial style transactions.
• Working knowledge of participation/syndication loan servicing.
• Advanced knowledge of general commercial lending policies.
• Advanced PC skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, and programs used to set up and track documentation or ongoing covenant ticklers.
• Strong ability to adjust priorities to changing circumstances while maintaining high quality in a fast‑paced atmosphere.
• Exceptional organization skills and very detailed oriented.
• Excellent teamwork skills are required.
