Finance Manager

Position Overview

The Finance Manager oversees key financial operations, supports strategic decision-making, and ensures the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial reporting. This role is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and process improvement initiatives. The Finance Manager works cross-functionally with leadership and operational teams to provide insights that drive financial performance and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and support department leaders in building accurate and strategic budgets.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts.

  • Analyze financial results, variances, and trends to provide actionable insights to management.

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making.

Financial Reporting
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports.

  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP and company policies.

  • Present financial results and KPIs to senior leadership.

Accounting & Controls Support
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures.

  • Assist with external audits, tax filings, and compliance activities.

Business Partnering
  • Serve as a strategic partner to operations, sales, and other functional teams.

  • Provide financial guidance and decision support on major initiatives, investments, and cost-saving opportunities.

  • Assist in evaluating capital expenditures, ROI analyses, and new business opportunities.

Process Improvement
  • Identify and implement improvements in financial systems, reporting tools, and workflows.

  • Drive automation and efficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Responsibilities of the Financial Analyst

  • Analysis of capital investments
  • Financial modeling
  • Requirements of the Financial Analyst

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Experience in the energy industry
  • Previous experience in corporate finance, investment banking or related field
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-starter and critical thinking skills
  • Corporate forecasting and budgeting
  • Evaluate opportunities for Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Work closely with stakeholders and C-level executives

Compensation $150,000 - $170,000 depending on education and experience.
