Stolz Telecom LLC, a leading provider of mission-critical communication solutions, is seeking a skilled Radio Frequency (RF) Technician to join our Oklahoma City, Oklahoma team. This role is essential for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting RF communication systems crucial for public safety, utilities, and transportation sectors.

The ideal candidate should have technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex issues effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability and safety of specialized communication equipment serving critical community functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, maintain, and repair RF communication systems including Analog, Digital (P25), and microwave networks.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to signal quality, interference, and hardware malfunctions.
  • Conduct regular system testing, firmware updates, and calibrations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and document system performance and configurations.
  • Provide technical support for emergency vehicle installations and 12

    VDC equipment setups.
  • Conduct site surveys, coverage tests, and ensure FCC compliance and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to promptly address technical issues.
  • Assist with new system deployments, upgrades, and fieldwork operations as required.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of service activities and system performance.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams, customers, and staff to ensure successful project completion and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications &

Education:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in LMR/RF Systems or related fields.
  • Associate's degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or relevant hands-on technical experience.
  • FCC General Radio Operators License (GROL) preferred.
  • Proficiency with RF testing equipment (Communication Monitors, Antenna Analyzers, Network Analyzers, etc.).
  • Valid US driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Mechanical aptitude and competence in interpreting technical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to travel occasionally (up to 25%) and perform fieldwork, including remote locations.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 70 pounds.
Preferred

Skills:
  • Experience with federal agencies or public safety organizations (police, fire, EMS).
  • Industry certifications such as ETA or other RF-related credentials.
  • Advanced networking knowledge (VoIP, radio-over-IP, network integration).
  • Familiarity with field service software and reporting tools.
  • Formal safety training and relevant safety certifications.
  • Professional development, ongoing technical training, and clear advancement opportunities.
