Roadway Engineer Transportation

Overview

MKEC is looking for a Transportation Roadway Engineer at our Oklahoma City, Wichita, Overland Park and Tulsa locations to assist with the design and production of DOT, turnpike, county and municipal transportation projects.

• Prior experience in roadway design.
• Prepare and assist with project proposals, interviews and presentations to clients.
• Proficient in roadway and or bridge design, drainage and traffic control.
• Design and assist with the production of roadway projects
• Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to staff members.
• Develop and maintain client relations.
• Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to staff members.
• Attend client meetings to ensure design meets their needs and objectives.

• **** B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
• Experience ranging from recent or upcoming December 2022 or May 2023 graduate to six years of experience in transportation projects involving DOT, Turnpike, county and municipal work
• Preferred knowledge of software such as AutoCAD Civil3D or Micro Station InRoads/Open Roads/Geopak
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office and Excel
• Highly organized, self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects ellent verbal and written communication skills, and time management skills are required.
• Ability to work well under pressure of deadlines, exhibit good business judgement and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
• Minimum EI accreditation with the expectation of obtaining a PE license in a timely manner
• Knowledge of local standards and requirements is referred.
