Role Overview: Lead an engineering team partnering with major silicon companies to optimize Ubuntu across the full Linux stack, from kernel to GUI, for the latest hardware. This fast-paced role requires resourcefulness, strong communication, and the ability to deliver solutions across PC and IoT technologies. Collaborate with silicon engineers to integrate next-generation features and performance enhancements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a distributed team to design and implement Ubuntu integration for new hardware platforms.
• Engage with partners to deliver an optimized Ubuntu experience.
• Develop your team through coaching and mentoring.
• Oversee project delivery and ensure quality standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams on product architecture and roadmaps.
• Work remotely with occasional travel.

Qualifications:

• Experience with Linux distributions, debian packaging, and high-performance hardware.
• Experience working directly with customers and resolving technical issues.
• Proven leadership of software engineering teams.
• Understanding of agile methodologies.
• Effective cross-team collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication in English.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology field.
