The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking multiple Air Vehicle Engineering Integrator – Lead (Level
4)/Senior (Level
5) to join the MS&B Air Vehicle Engineering team located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The Air Vehicle (AV) Engineering Integration team’s mission is to provide integrated, cost-effective, quality engineering solutions/services, planning and support for aircraft modification and sustainment. A successful member of this team will understand and execute aircraft modifications and upgrades for the Executive Transport, AWACS, Bombers and AEW&C programs.

Position Responsibilities Level 4
  • Provides the Engineering leadership and Technical Integration to the Air Vehicle Engineering Capabilities team representing multiple skill areas (Airframe, Airplane Systems, Flight Systems, Electrical Design and Integration – EDI and Manufacturing).
  • Develops statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements.
  • Reviews and compiles Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) with AV impacts prior to Chief Engineering Council (Technical Coordination of AV ECR Packages).
  • Supplier interface / coordination (multi-disciplinary integration, ex: EDI, Structures, Mech Systems, etc.).
  • Supports requirement decomposition and allocation for AV teams, including certification requirements/plans – Certification Plan Work Sheet (CPWS) coordination.
  • Coordinates Flight / Test Mission Assurance Readiness Review (F/TMARR) for Air Vehicle teams.
  • Drives integration between Air Vehicle and Supporting Teams.
  • Jointly develops proposals for Air Vehicle and ensures BOEs / EAC technical scope is well integrated.
  • Conducts virtual fly-throughs to ensure physical integration between Air Vehicle teams (Zonal Spatial Integration – Fly Thru Execution).
  • Supports Supplier Design Reviews (Equipment/Component owner owns the Design review).
  • Integrates Aircraft Level Designs utilizing Common Non-Recurring Product Definition (C-NRPD) and Electrical Design Integration – Maturity Phases layouts.
  • Has understanding of wire harness design and routing, power systems, electrical loads; reads and interprets functional schematics and wire diagrams (C-NRPD, EDI-MP, Final Systems Definition – FSD).
  • Decomposes functional, logical and physical requirements for systems and sub-systems within the Air Vehicle disciplines.
  • Works with customers and management to obtain approval.
  • Responds to changes to SOW, assesses impact and negotiates proposed changes to determine modifications to deliverables, resources, costs and schedules.
  • Leads project execution to complete the work statement and identifies performance metrics; plans, coordinates resources for program life.
  • Defines plans for risk mitigation and opportunity; compares actual results to baseline to assess performance, efficiencies and lessons learned.
  • Provides technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans. Works under minimal direction.
Level 5
  • Provides Engineering leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas including internal, external resources and customers.
  • Develops statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements.
  • Reviews and compiles Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) with AV impacts prior to Chief Engineering Council (Technical Coordination of AV ECR Packages).
  • Supplier interface / coordination (multi-disciplinary integration, ex: EDI, Structures, Mech Systems, etc.).
