* Position Summary:

*** The Lean Manufacturing Engineer will serve as a key driver of continuous improvement initiatives across the facility, championing Lean culture, tools, and methodologies to optimize production efficiency and material flow. This role will focus on enhancing operational performance through effective layout design, process optimization, ergonomic workstation development, and implementation of Lean systems such as Kanban, one-piece flow, and standardized work.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, a solid understanding of Lean principles, and the leadership skills necessary to influence cross-functional teams toward sustainable improvement.

* Position Responsibilities:

**** Drive Lean culture and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
* Develop and implement Lean logistics flow and material presentation strategies.
* Optimize facility layout, line balancing, and production process flow to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
* Design, implement, and maintain Kanban pull systems to support consistent and reliable material flow.
* Analyze and improve material handling processes between production stages.
* Conduct Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to identify bottlenecks and eliminate non-value-added activities.
* Promote and establish one-piece flow and standardized work practices across operations.
* Define process flows, create cell layouts, develop staffing plans, and build best practices for new and existing production processes.
* Design ergonomic workstation layouts to support safe and efficient assembly operations.
* Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to foster a Lean-focused operational environment.
* Support the development and tracking of continuous improvement KPIs.
* Facilitate Kaizen events, 5S activities, and other Lean workshops to improve operational performance.
* Document processes, create work instructions, and support training initiatives to sustain improvements.
* Perform other duties as needed to enhance production efficiency and operational excellence.
*** Position Requirements:
**** Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum 3+ years of experience in Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or process engineering.
* Hands-on experience leading Lean initiatives such as Kaizen events, VSM sessions, or waste‑reduction projects.
* Strong working knowledge of Lean principles and methodologies (5S, Kaizen, VSM, Kanban, JIT, Standard Work, TPM).
* Proficiency in facility layout design, ergonomic workstation design, and line balancing.
* Ability to analyze material flow and optimize logistics between processes.
* Experience with manufacturing process documentation, root-cause problem solving (A3, 5‑Why, Fishbone), and improvement tracking systems.
* Proficiency with CAD tools (AutoCAD, Solid Works) or layout design software preferred.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (pivot tables, charts, data analysis).
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
* Strong communication skills, capable of leading workshops and influencing cross-functional teams.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast‑paced operational environments.
* Proven leadership in managing improvement projects from concept to implementation.
