Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer located at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City, OK. The role will provide support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/PEO Digital Directorate (AFLCMC/WIW) and the Air Force Program Execution Office for PEO ISR (AFPEO/HBS). The position involves systems engineering across the acquisition life cycle, from requirements analysis through system disposal.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct program portfolio reviews to evaluate alternative plans, enhance systems engineering processes, manage technical baselines, and design system‑level tests.
- Review and evaluate alternative plans, designs, and test results to verify compliance with specifications.
- Prepare technical documentation, management reports, and presentations for planning and corrective actions.
- Perform system validations, develop criteria and procedures, and analyze major engineering system results.
- Provide engineering, technical support, and training for integration, sustainment, and operations oversight.
- Support risk management activities aligned with AF SEAM processes.
- Conduct formal trade studies and analyze system concepts and requirements.
- Assist in material solution analysis, technology development, and support engineering processes.
- Support planning and execution of technical reviews and develop documentation (Systems Engineering Plan, Risk Management Plan, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in a professional engineering discipline from an ABET‑accredited program and at least 12 years of professional experience, 5 of them in DoD.
- Experience in requirements development, production and deployment, architecture development, modeling & simulation, verification & validation, configuration management, network architectures, embedded systems, and cloud deployment.
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and Air Force systems engineering.
- Familiarity with Electronic Warfare and/or Air Combat operations is desired.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Master’s degree in a professional engineering discipline and at least 10 years of experience, 5 in DoD.
