This role provides engineering and technical support for the SCADA/EMS system used to monitor and control the OGE electrical system. Responsibilities include programming, designing, implementing, and analyzing all facets of the SCADA/EMS software, ensuring 24‑hour real‑time operation and coordination with other OGE departments.

Essential Functions- Provide engineering and technical support of Power System Network applications, State Estimator, Contingency Analysis, and Optimal Power Flow for system operators.
- Support the System Operator team on state estimation and power flow analysis.
- Perform state estimator, power flow and contingency analysis during significant system events.
- Responsible for long‑term planning of EMS databases, sizing expansion and implementation to accommodate electrical system model expansion.
- Develop and maintain seasonal transmission SCADA database equipment ratings, verify updates, facilitate notification, validate accuracy, and resolve conflicts.
- Act as a resource for less experienced members, possibly directing technical work of others.
- Implement Southwest Power Pool initiatives that impact Energy Management processes and applications, specifying gaps and representing the company in meetings.
- Monitor industry activity to provide consultative advice on complex engineering matters related to transmission operations.
- Perform data management and extraction to support reporting, regulatory requests and operations support.
- Develop and maintain documentation and operating procedures for all system and application functions.
- Coordinate ICCP communications to maintain real‑time monitoring and data exchange with Southwest Power Pool and interconnected utilities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or PE, and 2 years of related engineering experience (non‑engineer experience such as internship, design, drafting, or engineering tech experience counts at half rate).
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or PE, and 5 years of related engineering experience (at least 3 years as an engineer, with up to 2 years of non‑engineer experience counting at half rate).
- Experience in developing, modifying, and maintaining system models.
- Experience using, modifying, and maintaining SCADA/EMS systems.
- Experience interpreting and applying NERC reliability standards.
- Experience performing detailed event analysis following a transmission disturbance.
- Strong communication skills in speech and writing with all organizational levels and external professionals.
- Self‑motivated and capable of independent decision making.
- In‑depth knowledge and experience in multiple engineering initiatives.
- Strong project leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities and strict deadlines.
- Team player with interpersonal skills for diverse personalities.
- Required on‑call rotation.

Staff: $78,458 – $104,624
Senior: $94,848 – $126,464
