The Student Computer Center (SCC) Student Tutor is responsible for providing tutorial assistance to students in the computer laboratory setting in the discipline(s) listed under job duties.

• Must be a current OCCC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours for the Fall or Spring semester, or enrolled in a minimum of 3 credit hours for the Summer semester.
• OR Must be a current OCCC student with a federal work study award.
• AND Must be qualified to tutor in the designated tutoring subject area by receiving a recommendation from a laboratory supervisor or faculty confirming qualification.

• Lab hours open Monday – Thursday 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM;
  Friday 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM;
  Saturday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
• Work hours will be scheduled within the above SCC hours listed.

• Tutor one or more particular subject(s) (e.g., Windows 7, 8.0, 10, Microsoft Office, Autodesk Autocad, Solidworks, Beginning Programming, Advanced Programming, Web Site Development, Cyber Security).
• Implement a tutoring system and be able to receive directions from lab supervisor, lab assistants and/or Instructor.

• Abide by the policies and procedures published in the Board of Regents Policies and College Policies & Procedures.
• Contribute to a safe educational & working environment.
• Adhere to established safety and health procedures and practices for the purpose of providing injury and illness prevention for self and others.
• Complete quarterly health and safety training pursuant to OCCC’s established safety and health procedures and practices.
• Participate in all applicable OCCC emergency, evacuation and shelter in place drills and be prepared to take action and assist others in taking appropriate action should a health or safety emergency occur.
