Hills Elementary is one of Santa Fe South’s longest‑standing elementary campuses, opening during the 2015–2016 school year as the network’s second elementary school. PositionSummary
The PreK Teacher at Hills Elementary is responsible for creating a safe, joyful, and academically rich learning environment that supports the cognitive, language, and social‑emotional development of young learners. This teacher delivers developmentally appropriate, standards‑aligned instruction that prepares students for success in kindergarten and beyond.
This role is ideal for an educator who values strong classroom routines, early literacy development, and intentional play‑based learning, and who believes that young children thrive in environments that combine warmth, structure, and high expectations.
Key Responsibilities Instruction & Planning- Deliver high‑quality, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned to Oklahoma Early Learning Guidelines and Oklahoma Academic Standards
- Plan and internalize lessons with fidelity, including preparing materials and intentionally designing learning centers and routines
- Support early literacy and numeracy development through evidence‑based instructional practices
- Establish a nurturing and structured classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and positive behavior
- Use ongoing observation, formative assessments, and student data to inform instruction and support individual student needs
- Support students’ social‑emotional development through age‑appropriate strategies and consistent routines
- Provide targeted support to help all students make meaningful progress toward kindergarten readiness
- Maintain accurate documentation related to attendance, assessment, and compliance requirements
- Actively participate in Santa Fe South’s instructional coaching model by seeking, receiving, and implementing feedback
- Collaborate closely with grade‑level teammates, instructional coaches, and support staff to strengthen instructional practice
- Participate in professional learning communities and campus‑wide initiatives
- Contribute positively to campus culture and shared responsibility for student success
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students and families through consistent communication and partnership
- Communicate student progress regularly and support families in understanding early learning goals
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Strong alignment with Santa Fe South’s mission and commitment to serving the southside community
- Experience teaching early elementary grades (PreK–2)
- Strong understanding of early literacy and numeracy development
- Experience working in diverse or high‑need school communities
- Demonstrated openness to feedback and a growth‑oriented mindset
