Description
Are you a mature, Christian called to lead in the name of and through the love of Jesus? Are you ready to answer God’s calling and help transform lives with the love of Christ by inspiring, equipping, and launching the next generation of leaders? Shiloh Adventures is seeking two mature, Christian leaders with super high energy, extreme organization skills, and a heart for the inner-city.
ResponsibilitiesThese below responsibilities will be shared and/or specially assigned between the Program Coordinators:
- Create and implement all curriculum, schedules, and strategies for year-round programs
- Plan and execute annual program events, including Man Cave, Christmas Jam, Fall Carnival, Discipleship Weekend, and Parent Forums
- Facilitate summer camp programming through assigned leadership role
- Recruit, train and manage summer staff and volunteers
- Facilitate the Ascend Leadership Program including the annual retreat, luncheon, and monthly meetings
- Encourage and engage campers to progress through various leadership programs and roles
- Create and maintain outreach schedule, including newsletters, social media, and events for campers, staff, and alumni
- Develop and maintain an Internship Program
- Create and direct the Outdoor Education program
- Develop and maintain community, church and ministry partner relationships
- Assist with ropes course and property rentals as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or two years of experience working within a camp environment or urban youth
- Ministry experience preferred
- Relates well to urban culture and has a passion to bring Jesus to the city
- Strong biblical knowledge, dynamic public speaking skills, and the ability to relate to all ages
- Organized, flexible, strong leadership skills, fun and creative with a high energy level
- Available to work evenings and weekends to meet the demands of retreats and special events
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors year-round on rugged terrain
