The Math Resource Center Aide will assist with the daily operations of the Math Resource Center and provide support services to students and faculty.
Responsibilities- Greet and assist students and faculty.
- Assist students with check-in procedures.
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide information as needed.
- Check out materials such as textbooks, solution manuals, and calculators for student use in the Math Resource Center.
- Check out calculator caddies and other materials to faculty.
- Perform light clerical duties.
- Clean and dust computers and monitors.
- Ensure printers are properly maintained with paper.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Current OCCC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours for the Fall or Spring semester or a minimum of 3 credit hours for the Summer semester.
- OR current OCCC student with a Federal Work Study Award.

1. General
Physical Requirements:
Medium work—occasionally exert up to 50 pounds of force, frequently exert up to 20 pounds of force, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

Frequently move about the lab to perform the functions of the position.
3. Communicate with and listen to students, faculty, staff, and others to perform the essential functions of the position.
4. Operate a computer and other office/lab equipment for the essential functions of the position.
5. Operate equipment involving repetitive motions of hands and wrists.
6. Occasionally position self to access materials that may be above head or at ground level.
7. Frequently position self to work with lab equipment or assist students.
8. Visual Acuity:
Judge, observe, and assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned or make general observations.

Working Conditions:
Perform the essential functions in an indoor, office, or lab setting.
Work hours will range from 20–25 hours per week and may include evenings and Saturdays depending on Math Resource Center operational requirements. Schedules are set each semester and will respect the student’s class schedule.
