Position Summary

The 2nd Grade Teacher at Spero Upper Elementary is a reflective, driven educator who embraces high expectations and continuous growth- for themselves and their students. This teacher thrives in a structured, feedback-rich environment and is energized by collaboration, coaching, and the pursuit of instructional excellence. The ideal candidate is both warm and firm, combining strong relationships with intentional, data-informed instruction.

• Deliver high-quality, standards-aligned instruction that leads to measurable student growth
• Create a structured, engaging, and joyful classroom environment with clear routines and expectations
• Use student data to plan, adjust, and refine instruction
• Actively participate in coaching cycles, professional development, and collaborative planning
• Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues

• Maintain high expectations for academic achievement, behavior, and character development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Valid Oklahoma teaching certification (or willingness/ability to obtain)
• Prior elementary teaching experience preferred but not required
