Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting a General Surgeon to provide onsite services to eligible beneficiaries of the Oklahoma City VA Health Care System located at 921 NE 13th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73104. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the discretion of either Ansible or its clients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative duties as designated by the Chief of Surgery
  • Engage in preventative medicine, emergency preparedness, Joint Commission compliance, and other health system requirements
  • Supervise and train surgical residents, trainees, and physician extenders
  • Provide on-call services during day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled
  • Maintain professionalism, courtesy, and respect towards all stakeholders
  • Assist patients with questions or concerns, demonstrating knowledge and empathy
  • Participate in service recovery efforts
  • Adjust care based on patient age and abilities
  • Provide clear and accurate instructions to patients
  • Participate in patient identification and safety protocols
  • Monitor patient signs of distress and condition during treatment
  • Utilize computerized patient records systems effectively, including documentation standards

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited institution approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs
  • Board Certified or Eligible in Surgery
  • Unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory
  • Completion of approved residency training in an accredited program leading to board eligibility
  • Active AHA BLS certification
  • Valid NPI report
  • Active DEA license
  • Ability to pass a federal background check

Physical Requirements

  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach during shifts
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs regularly
  • Carry 40 lbs over reasonable distances
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
