New Fire Native Design Group (NFN) is an Architecture and Interior Design firm dedicated to serving Native American communities through thoughtful, forward-looking design. Our work honors tradition while building a strong foundation for future generations. We’re growing and on the lookout for mid-level Architects who are ready to dive into purpose-driven work. • Collaborate on the design and documentation of a variety of projects including tribal government, cultural, education, and healthcare facilities.
• Produce drawings, specifications, and reports that align with project goals and client expectations.
• Apply codes and regulations to design solutions while supporting the creation of culturally sensitive, community-informed spaces.
• Participate in client meetings and design presentations; communicate ideas clearly and respectfully.
• Contribute to QA/QC processes and collaborate with engineering, interiors, and technical teams.
• Maintain awareness of schedules, deliverables, and budget implications in your role.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills across disciplines and with clients.
• Cultural sensitivity and a desire to serve Native communities with humility and respect.
• Critical thinking and creativity in solving complex design challenges.
• Time management and adaptability in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.
• A team-focused mindset, with willingness to support and learn from others.

• Degree in Architecture or related design field required.
• For licensed Architects: A valid architectural license in applicable state.
• For unlicensed Architects: A degree in architecture or related field and a passion for the profession.
• 8+ years of relevant design experience preferred.
• Proficiency in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong portfolio showcasing design thinking, technical ability, and community-centered work.
• Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Prior experience with Native American clients or tribal projects is valued but not required.
