PAY AND FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT (FLSA) STATUS:
Pay Range: 852
Hourly Rate: $12.50 - $13.75
FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt
The normal starting pay for this position is the minimum of the pay range listed above. A higher rate of pay may be considered, dependent on the qualifications and experience of the selected applicant.
HIRING INCENTIVE (Effective April 15, 2026, to September 10, 2026)
* $50 - Applicant must complete all mandatory training, including orientation, and work all scheduled shifts during first month of active status.

All approved incentives are contingent upon employee being in good standing without performance issues.

ATTENTION APPLICANTS

Hiring & Career Expo Event, to be held Wednesday, March 25, 2026, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Metro Tech, 1900 Springlake Drive, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73111. Interview questions are included in the supplemental questions. Upon receiving and accepting a job offer, applicants will be referred for drug testing (as applicable based on position) that will be conducted on-site as part of the City's background process for employment.
Criminal history checks will also be obtained following the event as part of the background process.
APPLICATION INFORMATION
* This position requires applicants to be at least 16 years of age at the time of application submission.
* When completing the application, applicants will be asked to respond to application questions.
* Completion of the application questions is required.
* Applicant responses to the application questions must specifically answer the questions asked.

JOB SUMMARY
This position is located in the Recreation, Health, and Wellness Division of the Parks and Recreation Department within the City of Oklahoma City. This position is primarily responsible for collecting fees, admission tickets and passes from patrons at various events or City facilities. Typical duties include: accepting cash and making change; following established cash handling procedures; examining tickets or passes to verify authenticity;
and refusing admittance of patrons without tickets or passes.

If you are under the age of 18 at the time you make application, you must print, complete, sign, and have a parent or legal guardian sign the Authorization for Background and Drug Test for Minors and bring it with you to interview for a temporary, part-time or seasonal job in the Parks and Recreation Department. Failure to bring the signed authorization form may eliminate you from employment consideration.
Note:
This position will occasionally accept cash and make change; operate a concession stand or gift shop; and collect fees, admission tickets, and passes from patrons at various events or City facilities.
Pay Method:
City employees are required to receive pay electronically, either via direct deposit or pay card.

Upon a conditional offer of employment/acceptance of position, the City of Oklahoma City will conduct a criminal history background check for external applicants.
