Southern Plains Productions is seeking an experienced Projection Designer for our upcoming production of The Last Five Years by Jason Robert Brown, presented at the Civic Center Music Hall – Little Theatre in Oklahoma City.

We are seeking a designer with a strong visual storytelling sensibility and significant experience designing and implementing video media for musical theatre productions.

• Travel to OKC:
  May 23, 2026

• Participate in pre-production design meetings with the director and design team
• Create all projection/video content for the production
• Implement and integrate video media on-site during tech week
• Collaborate with the director and design team to support storytelling
• Specify and advise on all video/projection equipment required for the production
• Oversee cueing and execution of media during technical rehearsals

• Extensive experience designing video/media for musical theatre productions
• Strong working knowledge of LED video walls/systems, projection, and related media technologies
• Proven ability to implement and troubleshoot media systems in a live performance environment
• Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively during a fast-paced technical process
• Open to Union and Non-Union applicants

• $2,000 flat fee for the project
• Housing and travel to and from Oklahoma City provided by the producer
• On-site transportation and per diem provided
