Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
Ledcor is seeking an experienced and dedicated Superintendent to join our team for a large-scale long-haul fiber installation project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day field operations, developing project plans, and monitoring performance. Recognized as an expert, they anticipate client needs and provide solutions, sharing expertise and mentoring colleagues. This position will start in Minnesota and will require the ability to travel up to 100% of the time.

Essential Responsibilities- Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes
- Lead the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversee incident investigations
- Review and update construction schedules, address delays, and contribute to project schedules
- Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects
- Maintain knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project
- Participate in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement, and negotiations
- Set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff
- Three to five years of experience as a Telecommunications Construction Superintendent
- Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current practices
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Ability to supervise craft employees and subcontractors directly
- Problem-solving skills and the capacity to anticipate and address issues
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Able to meet physical requirements such as sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in various weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.)
- This is a site position requiring 100% travel, starting in Minnesota and moving across different states
