Job Description
The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry (ODAFF) is seeking a temporary Administrative Assistant in the Wildlife Services Division. This position (PIN #) is in state government and will work in Oklahoma County. This position is a temporary position not to exceed 999 hours per year. This position may be long term based on grant funding.
The hourly pay for this position is up to $20.00 hourly based on education and experience.

Description:
This is an office position that works with an ODAFF/USDA joint division supporting the Budget Analyst & Programs Officer to support field staff and cooperators.
Typical Functions:
* Monitoring Communications.
* Receiving, opening and distributing mail & corresponding information.
* Scanning, filing, and maintaining electronic records & logs.
* Maintaining all stages of Agreements. Conception, Payments, Renewal, & Upkeep.

Level Descriptions:
Level I - At this level employees are assigned routine duties and responsibilities. Employees will coordinate internal and external activities of the organization or program, respond to routine inquiries in both written and oral form, perform routine fiscal duties, and complete routine customer service requests from internal and external cooperators.
Level II - Employees will establish and maintain positive working relationships, respond to internal and external cooperators inquiries according to applicable policies and procedures in written and oral form, perform assigned administrative and operational tasks, this may include editing and auditing various reports for accuracy and ensuring errors are corrected, inventory control and similar duties, and participate in team, unit, or office projects to improve the effectiveness and efficiencies in delivering agency services.
Education and Experience:
Level I
- Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor's degree or High School diploma or GED and four years of technical clerical, administrative, secretarial, or general office work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Level II
- Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor's degree or four years of technical clerical, administrative, secretarial, or general office work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
Level I - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required at this level include knowledge of spelling, punctuation, and business English; business mathematics; of modern office methods and procedures; the maintenance of complex records; and the major policies and procedures governing assigned programs.
Ability is required to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; perform confidential work and maintain confidentiality; interpret and complete routine matters according to agency policies and procedures; and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to type 50 words per minute.
Level II - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required at this level include knowledge of spelling, punctuation, and business English; of business mathematics; of modern office methods and procedures; establishing and maintaining records; and major policies and procedures governing assigned programs.
Ability is required to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external partners, cooperators, and staff; perform confidential work and maintain confidentiality; and interpret and respond to inquiries at various levels of complexity in accordance with agency policy, in written or oral form. Ability to type 50 words per minute.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
This position is set in a climate-controlled office environment. This position is stationary and often requires one to remain in a stationary position more than 90% of the time while operating an office computer, or other office equipment. This position will be required to work in office at the Oklahoma Dept of Agriculture, Food, Forestry.
Additional Information:
This position may be subject to random drug testing. Applicants must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver's license in order to operate state-owned or leased vehicles.
This position is subject to a twelve-month probationary period.
