Senior Accountant - JIB

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant, Joint Interest Billing to join our Accounting team. This role is critical in managing joint interest billing processes, ensuring accuracy in cost allocation, and supporting financial reporting and audit activities. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and motivated to drive efficiency through process improvements and use of technology.

• Prepare monthly JIB journal entries timely and accurately
• Review and process Non-Operated JIB invoices
• Create and maintain AFEs in the accounting system
• Execute the Joint Interest Billing cycle on a monthly basis
• Serve as point of contact for partners regarding billing inquiries and issues
• Support monthly financial close, including cost accruals and reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy and compliance
• Assist with documentation and support of annual financial statement audits
• Participate in special projects, initiatives, and process improvements
• Utilize front-end accounting systems and digital tools effectively
