Client Accounting Services Manager

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join the firm in a manager-level capacity, overseeing client-facing bookkeeping operations and ensuring the integrity of financial records across a diverse client portfolio. The right candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to lead a team while maintaining high standards of accuracy ahead of reporting and tax deadlines.

• Lead and manage bookkeeping functions for a portfolio of clients spanning multiple industries, ensuring timely and accurate financial recordkeeping
• Perform and oversee account reconciliations including bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
• Review and maintain the accuracy of transaction recording within accounting software platforms
• Analyze and refine journal entries to ensure proper financial reporting
• Conduct thorough reviews of periodic and year-end financial statements before distribution internally or externally
• Partner cross-functionally with other departments to align financial data with broader reporting and compliance needs
• Coach, develop, and support a team of accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement
• Evaluate existing workflows and champion process improvements that enhance efficiency and reporting quality
• Act as a subject matter resource for client inquiries involving complex bookkeeping matters

• 5+ years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping capacity, with preference given to candidates from client-service or multi-account environments
• Advanced proficiency in Quick Books (Desktop and/or Online)
• Solid command of full-cycle accounting principles including reconciliations and journal entries
• Familiarity with payroll processes and how they integrate with financial reporting
• Demonstrated ability to review financial statements for completeness and accuracy
• Cross-industry experience is a plus
• Proven ability to lead and develop staff in a professional setting
• Strong organizational skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving
• Clear and effective communicator, both written and verbal
• CPA or equivalent credential is welcomed but not required
