The Senior Financial Accountant will be hands-on in month-end close, public company reporting, audit prep, and strengthening controls and processes as the business continues to grow.
What You’ll Do- Play a hands-on role in the month-end close and financial reporting process, including preparation of GAAP journal entries
- Own and maintain fixed asset roll forwards, ensuring accuracy from capitalization through depreciation and reconciliation
- Develop and maintain internal controls documentation, including narratives, process flows, and supporting schedules
- Prepare and manage external audit schedules and PBC support, serving as a key contact during audits
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and detailed financial statement analysis
- Support financial statement footnotes and audit-related research
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as needed
- Research technical accounting topics and support updates to accounting policies and procedures
- Continuously improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation
- Support special projects and ad hoc initiatives
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or active CPA candidate strongly preferred
- 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Public company accounting experience is required
- Previous public audit experience with a Big 4 or large national firm is highly preferred
- Experience at the Senior Audit Associate level or higher is a plus
- Proven experience with fixed asset accounting, controls documentation, and external audit schedule preparation
- You enjoy technical accounting and take pride in clean, well-documented work
- You’re organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- You’re strong in Excel and experienced in building audit-ready schedules
- You can clearly explain accounting concepts to both accounting and non-accounting partners
- Experience with large ERP systems
