Current OpportunityAs a Junior Accountant, you are responsible for general ledger functions and reconciliation of subsidiary journals and bank accounts. Also assist in handling and supporting department responsibilities in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles; other projects as assigned.
Who You Are- A collaborative individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize workflow.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Process journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.
- Reconcile credit union and other general ledger accounts.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Support audits and regulatory filings.
- Tax withholding remittance and filing.
- Other assignments as required.
- 2-3 years Accounting experience (credit union or financial institutions preferred).
- Accounts Payable experience strongly preferred.
- Associate Degree in Accounting.
- Any combination of education, training and experience which provides knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential job functions
