- Responds to written and telephone inquiries, using proper etiquette, from providers regarding their records and network agreements
- Responds to provider questions, including specialty agreements and W-9 information
- Establishes electronic funds transfers (EFT) records when appropriate
- Establishes and maintains departmental records and files, including initial credentialing and business or provider updates
- Researches and resolves inquiries by accessing the provider, National Provider File (NPF), and other resources
- Processes claims assigned to the Provider Records worklist
- Operates office equipment which may include personal computer, photocopier, scanner, calculator, fax, etc.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of work experience in perfect office environment.
- Ability to begin work at 7:30 a.m. or be required to work until 5:00 p.m. (rotating basis)
- Successful wholes to complete a data entry test sponsored by Human Resources within the past 12 months / 5, ôf499 keystrokes per hour with 95% accuracy (test waived if candidate currently holds or has previously held a CRT Operator position)
- Successful completion of a typing test administered by Human Resources within the past 12 months with a typing speed of 40 correct words per minute (minimum of 90% accuracy) (test waived if candidate currently holds a position that requires at least 40 correct words per minute.)
