A contract opportunity is available for a licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) serving K‑12 students in Southeast Florida. This role supports multiple school settings with a focus on delivering speech therapy services to diverse student populations.
LocationLocation: Okeechobee, FL (with additional assignments in Ft. Pierce and Port St. Lucie, FL)
Assignment DurationAssignment Duration: January 5, 2026 – June 2, 2026
ScheduleSchedule: Full-time and part-time positions available; schedules vary by site.
Settings- Middle schools with InD units (multiple days per week)
- K‑8 school with a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) cluster site (part‑time)
- Private school evaluation team conducting assessments at district offices (part‑time)
- Active Florida Speech‑Language Pathology license required
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Ability to independently manage caseloads and collaborate with educators and support staff
- Experience with assessments and evaluations, especially in various educational environments, is a plus
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Provide direct speech‑language therapy to K‑12 students with varied needs
- Conduct evaluations and assessments as needed, including speech and language screenings and comprehensive diagnostics
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain documentation and comply with district protocols
