In parallel to the traditional trading, ELG Utica Alloys also offers its customers, mainly companies from the aerospace industry, logistics and processing services as part of a global or local closed loop program.
The Operations Assistant performs routine clerical and warehouse support tasks to ensure smooth daily operations, including processing paperwork, coordinating logistics, and supporting inventory and safety compliance.
Responsibilities- Process warehouse paperwork accurately to support inventory and shipment tracking
- Enter and log warehouse data into the system to maintain up‑to‑date records
- Assist in receiving goods and acknowledge deliveries to ensure accurate inventory updates
- File, photocopy, fax, prepare, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail or packages efficiently
- Verify purchase orders and obtain management approvals to maintain procurement accuracy
- Compile and perform data entry tasks to support operational reporting and analysis
- Identify and communicate workflow discrepancies to relevant teams for timely resolution
- Coordinate with transport companies to schedule collections and deliveries, ensuring daily operational targets are met
- Liaise with suppliers and customers to arrange collections and deliveries, maintaining clear communication
- Support warehouse staff in inventory management and retrieval tasks to maintain stock accuracy
- Assist the team in completing tasks efficiently and effectively to meet operational goals
- Monitor warehouse operations to ensure compliance with health, safety, and security standards
- Manage PPE inventory to ensure adequate supply and availability for staff
- Assist in receiving goods from containers or suppliers, verifying quality and quantity requirements are met
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director and General Manager
- Possess a valid forklift license
- Minimum education level:
Secondary 4 (Sec
4) - At least 1 year of experience in warehouse operations
- Ability to lead by example and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines
- Strong teamwork skills and self‑motivation to complete tasks independently
- Effective interpersonal skills and resourcefulness in problem‑solving
- Willingness to work additional hours when needed
