The Inventory/Warehouse Coordinator supports supervisors and production with operational functions related to inventory product maintenance, preservation, identification, movement, and replenishment. This role works the 1st Shift (8:00 am‑4:30 pm, Monday‑Friday).
Responsibilities- Receive, store, and maintain material in the facility safely and accurately.
- Use the ERP system to log and locate materials accurately.
- Inspect, store, and distribute products in a timely fashion.
- Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins by size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to move, gather, or distribute.
- Perform cycle counts and input data.
- Analyze inventory levels and create requisitions to maintain equitable quantities for active items.
- Maintain reorder points for all inventories.
- Act as the local vendor liaison for purchasing.
- Pursue disposition of obsolete and defective inventory.
- Regularly audit and report data collections for raw materials and supplies.
- Serve as point of contact for recycling partners and manage the facility recycling program.
- Ensure all quality control standards are maintained and communicate any problems or quality issues due to shipping errors.
- Complete a daily forklift inspection checklist for any forklift used.
- Comply with all company policies regarding forklift and warehouse safety.
- Conduct BBSO, LOTO, and safety audits.
- Be able to lift or move materials up to 25 pounds.
- Keep all work areas safe, clean, and in good condition.
- Follow additional instructions from supervisors or management for other tasks or projects, ensuring accurate completion within the allotted timeframe.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- High school diploma or GED; or two years of job‑related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous forklift experience and certification.
- Ability to embody and reflect Vestcom’s core values.
- Compliance with company policies concerning maintaining a drug‑free workplace.
- Compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
- No supervisory responsibilities.
- This position is safety‑sensitive and may disqualify current medical or recreational marijuana users from continued employment even if permitted by state law.
