Day by day, our Tech & Product Team of about 400 experts pursues the goal of creating the best possible customer shopping experience for our online marketplace. Through innovative technical developments, they not only create an outstanding shopping experience but also lay the foundation for an optimal selling experience for our sellers.

• As a Senior Frontend Engineer (all genders) in our team, you proactively develop the Kaufland Marketplace and internal services further
• You connect us to the rapidly growing customer base. Collaborating closely with our UX/UI experts, you will design and implement solutions that deliver an exceptional shopping experience.
• You continuously optimize and maintain existing frontend applications regarding performance, speed, usability, minimizing load times and maximizing interactivity
• You proactively contribute your own suggestions, solutions, and technologies to the development process
• You work on highly scalable and performant SSR Vue 3 frontends serving pages with high traffic
• Based on your well-founded experience and skills, you are committed to continuously improving your colleagues’ know-how, methodology, and quality, and you lead by example

• You have relevant experience of 6+ years as a Frontend or Full-Stack Engineer and are used to solving different engineering problems with the tools and frameworks that make sense both for the problem domain and the engineering organization
• You have profound knowledge of our frontend tech stack, which is predominantly Type Script and Vue.js, or you are experienced and accomplished with other common frameworks
• Familiarity with backend application development either in Node.js, PHP or other languages is a must
• You are knowledgeable about testing, debugging, monitoring, and deployment techniques for web applications
• You have experience with building responsive web applications and using different API paradigms
• Ideally, you have experience running efficient experiments and validating ideas using A/B Tests in high-iteration cycles
• You work proactively, take responsibility, and challenge processes
• You have excellent communication skills, are fluent in English (C1) and enjoy working in an international environment
• You have in-depth knowledge of software development methods and principles that translate into writing code that is easy to understand and maintain
• You are committed to learning and adapting to new technologies quickly, besides training opportunities provided by the company
• You have the drive to continuously develop both yourself and your team further to become a little bit better every day
• You know how and when to document technical specifications and decisions that affect your team or other teams in your area
• You have solid understanding of infrastructure concepts
