Overview

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2026/2027 school year within a K-12 educational setting located in Defiance, OH. This contract role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse student population across the full school year while supporting their speech and language developmental needs.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on assessment data.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language impairments.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to intervention planning for students.
Qualifications
  • Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP preferred).
  • Credentials meeting requirements for school-based practice.
  • Pediatric experience or completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is highly valued.
  • Strong understanding of speech-language development in school-aged children.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Position is based in Defiance, Ohio, serving a public K-12 school district.
