Fitzenrider is looking for an experienced Residential HVAC Lead Installer to take ownership of high-quality HVAC installations, including equipment, ductwork, and air devices. This role is ideal for a skilled installer who takes pride in craftsmanship, leadership, and mentoring others.
Compensation: $22–$32 per hour dependent on skills and experience
What You’ll Do- Plan and organize materials and tools prior to each job
- Install HVAC systems in accordance with company standards, codes, and safety requirements
- Protect customer homes using company‑provided drop cloths, runners, and coverings
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, homeowners, and other trades to ensure efficient job execution
- Communicate scope changes clearly and professionally
- Perform system commissioning and start‑ups using proper testing equipment and complete electronic documentation
- Install sheet metal safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and ensure routine maintenance is completed
- Collect C.O.D. payments when required
- Train and mentor apprentices and less‑experienced installers
- Monitor jobsite performance and hold team members accountable when needed
- Attend ongoing training as technology and best practices evolve
- Assist other departments during slow periods as needed
- Complete projects within quoted time frames
- Follow all company policies and safety standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- HVAC apprenticeship and/or formal trade training
- 3+ years of HVAC field experience or HVAC school completion with 1+ year of experience
- EPA refrigerant handling certification (required)
- OSHA certification (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check
- Experience running service calls is a plus, not required
