Diesel Mechanic – 3 pm Start Time – $1,500 Sign‑On Bonus

• Starting salary of $25 to $30 per hour depending on experience

• Monday – Friday every week
• Second Shift: 3:00 pm to 12:00 am
• No weekends
• Stable hours for financial security and work‑life balance
• Work in a repair/maintenance shop at our Chardon, OH hauling site

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment
• Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts
• Perform work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs)
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns
• Perform safety checks on vehicles – safety is top priority
• Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage and accounting for repair times
• Assist senior mechanics in the completion of project work
• Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards and perform all work according to established safety procedures

• 2 years of relevant work experience
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Over 18 years of age
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to perform physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations
• Successfully complete and pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical

• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing; constant standing, walking, and grasping; occasional sitting and balancing
• Exposure to cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, and other occupational risks
• Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, heat and humidity in both indoor and outdoor settings
• Works in both inside garage/shop or gas plant conditions and outside conditions including inclement weather, heat and humidity
