The Lead Facilities Technician manages and performs routine reactive and preventative maintenance tasks across multiple fields including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fabric repairs. This role involves leading a multi-skilled team to deliver day-to-day support ensuring smooth facility operations while providing exceptional customer experience. The position requires collaboration with Facilities Managers and on-site teams to complete planned maintenance and reactive tasks in accordance with service level agreements and regulatory requirements.
** Your day-to-day tasks will include:
*** Oversee site technicians and planning schedulers to ensure all planned maintenance and reactive tasks meet or exceed service level agreements
* Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical plant equipment, plumbing components, fire safety systems, and building automation systems
* Complete documentation for fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, building alarm contacts, and other critical building systems
* Coordinate with contractors and vendors while conducting risk assessments and following safety protocols and Permit to Work procedures
* Ensure all work orders are completed and closed in full compliance with JLL processes and Equipment Maintenance Systems
* Provide technical support for projects, undertake small installation works, and perform general handyman tasks including lock repairs and door maintenance
* Generate regular reports on engineering activity and collaborate with internal teams to resolve unique situations with professionalism
** Physical Demands and Work Environment:
*** Work in various building environments including mechanical rooms, rooftops, and office spaces
* Wear personal protective equipment as required by risk assessments and safety protocols
* Perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces
* Work with hand tools, power tools, and specialized maintenance equipment
* Exposure to mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing components, and building materials
* May work in varying temperature conditions and outdoor environments as needed
* Stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods during maintenance activities

* Required Qualifications:

*** Technical certification or training in facilities maintenance, electrical, HVAC, or plumbing trades
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or building operations
* Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing, and fire safety system
* Experience with maintenance management systems and work order processes
* Understanding of health and safety regulations and permitting to work procedures
* Strong leadership skills with ability to oversee technicians and coordinate maintenance activities
* Proficiency with documentation systems and ability to generate regular reports
