Night Shift Diesel Mechanic

Primarily responsible for daily preventive maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the vehicles assigned as well as providing onsite emergency assistance as required when issues arise in the field.

• Performs basic Pre‑Trips on all various rolling stock.
• Performs all necessary paperwork associated with the assigned job, i.e. (work orders, charge parts out).
• Drives various equipment safely on the lot or into the garage work area.
• Adjusts brakes and clutches to FMCSA standards.
• Performs all Category C tasks.
• Changes/replace cl counseling, pm all various equipment, make or repair hydraulics or hoses.
• Performs work assignments with minimum direction from the supervisor.
• Performs basic welding functions along with being able to change out a variety of components related to equipment.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license (MVR check is condition of employment).
• 2 years of Garage/ Diesel Mechanic experience preferred.
• ASC Certification (preferred).
• Diesel Certification (preferred).
• Ability to work with Insite software.
• In‑depth knowledge of Fleet Maintenance Operations or transferable skill sets from similar industries. Ability to provide own tools síðada
• Follow Department of Transportation, State and Federal laws, and company safety policies and programs.
• Must be able to follow workplace safety rules, including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout Tagout procedures, and process safety management‑related matters.
• Willing and capable of working overtime as required.
• Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Excellent Communication Skills.

• Occasionally work in an outside environment (including inclement weather).
• Lift up to 75 lbs.
• Work around raw, live animal odors.
• Work in a noisy environment (>85 decibels) with moving equipment.
• Work nights, weekends, holidaysիզմ …… long shifts.
• Must be able to work in a stationary position, laying or standing on feet for the entire shift. Ability to multitask and work quickly.
• Ability to work with others in a close environment.
