Starting Wage: $43.24/hr

Requirements- Must be a Journeyman with a 4‑Year State‑approved apprenticeship or 8 years of documented experience in the Trade
- Ability to work any shift
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Must have completed an apprenticeship program or have 8 years of documented experience in the trade
- Must have HVAC maintenance / repair experience; HVAC certification preferred
- Must be U.S. citizen
- Must be able to obtain / maintain security clearance
- Must have a current state driver's license to obtain in‑plant licenses for motorized vehicles, including man lifts and forklifts
- Must be able to operate a crane (up to 50 tons)
- Must have ability to read and work from blueprints
- Must be able to successfully complete the pre‑employment process, including drug screen and background check
- Must obtain Department of Army Police unescorted access
- Must be able to work from ladders, scaffolds, or swing stages as needed
- Must be willing to work any shift and overtime as required
- Must be able to wear personal protective clothing and equipment, including respirator
- Must be able to work in inclement weather, confined spaces, high noise volume, dust and fumes, and hold for prolonged periods; must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders
- Perform all installation, repair and maintenance work of refrigeration and air‑conditioning equipment, including cold rooms and tropic rooms to simulate extreme conditions of cold and heat and other atmospheric conditions for test purposes.
- Install and maintain steam and hot water heating systems, high pressure steam line, sprinkler systems and piping systems for air, oil, gas, paint, acids, solvents, etc., including pump and collectors.
- Cut threads, bend, file, burr, ream and install pipes, couplings, unions, elbows, flanges, valves, etc.
- Work with cast iron, brass, stainless steel, and other types of metal piping, valves, traps and vessels. Use all types of pipe fitters, tools including taps, portable power pipe threaders, gas torches, hacksaws, drills, benders, etc.
- Lay out, install and repair all plant plumbing systems, including toilets, showers and drinking fountains, according to underwriters and municipal standards. Locate, diagnose and correct plumbing troubles.
- May be required to handle/manage hazardous waste from time to time.
- Work in a production environment that includes climbing stairs, ladders and equipment; working from ladders, scaffolds or swing stages.
- Lift and carry at least 40 lbs.
- Work in inclement weather, extreme heat and cold.
- Work in confined spaces.
- Work in areas with a high noise volume.
- Wear personal protective clothing and equipment.
- Wear respirator.
- Bend, stoop, kneel and crawl.
- Work aloft; cannot be afraid of heights.
- Work in areas with dust and fumes.
