As a Security Officer - Evening Patrol Driver in Johnstown, OH
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist guests and team members with friendly customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting.

This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, tenants and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, suspicious activity and/or policy violations, and escalating to management and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, common areas, entrances, loading areas and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for potential loss prevention concerns, and report observations through appropriate channels while maintaining a professional, service-oriented presence.
  • Complete required documentation such as shift logs, incident reports and patrol reports, and communicate status updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
