Analytical Chemist
This role focuses on migrations, extractables and leachables, impurity isolation, identification, and structural characterization studies in a GMP analytical laboratory. The analyst will work with pharmaceuticals and food packaging materials, operate LC‑MS/MS and GC‑MS instruments, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities- Conduct migrations, extractables, and leachables studies.
- Isolate, identify, and characterize impurities.
- Operate and maintain LC‑MS/MS and GC‑MS instruments.
- Prepare samples for analysis.
- Work with pharmaceuticals and food packaging materials.
- Review data for technical content and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in LC‑MS/MS and GC‑MS.
- Strong knowledge in analytical chemistry.
- Experience in a GMP laboratory.
- Knowledge of FDA compliance.
- Sample preparation expertise.
Skills & Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field.
- 2‑4 years of experience in an analytical laboratory.
- Experience with HPLC, GC, HPLC MS/MS, semi‑prep chromatography, and lyophilization.
- Experience in the isolation and identification of impurities.
- Knowledge of migrations, extractables, and leachables.
The role is based in a lab environment focused on extractables and leachables, migrations, and the use of LC‑MS/MS technology. The analyst will be part of a high‑level pharmaceutical company, providing an opportunity to gain valuable industry experience.
Job Type & LocationPermanent, full‑time position based in Painesville, OH.
Pay And BenefitsPay range: $65,000 – $85,000 per year. Benefits include 401(k), medical, dental, vision, PTO, and vacation time.
