The Opportunity

The Business Development Director will be tasked with driving new business growth in Germany. This role is ideal for a self‑motivated sales professional who thrives on developing new relationships, building pipelines, and closing deals within the market research and data insights ecosystem.

As the Business Development Director, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and securing new clients, managing the end‑to‑end sales process, and contributing to the company’s continued expansion across Europe. This is a hands‑on, strategic role with significant autonomy and impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to drive new business growth in Germany
  • Identify, engage, and convert new clients within the market research, data, and insights sectors
  • Build and maintain a strong and active sales pipeline, from prospecting to deal closure
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Conduct product demonstrations and communicate value propositions effectively to potential clients
  • Collaborate closely with regional and global teams to ensure consistent client onboarding and satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM documentation
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging customer needs
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5+ years of sales experience in market research
  • Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience preferred
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, and follow‑through abilities
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and productivity tools
