Overview: As a Pre‑Sales Consultant, you will partner with HID’s channel partners to drive integration and alignment with HID’s product portfolio, brands, and services. You will support sales teams and partners in closing deals, delivering demos, and providing technical expertise across the DACH and partial Benelux region.

Responsibilities
  • Cover the DACH region and partially the Benelux region, supporting the sales team and partners in closing deals.
  • Organize and conduct regular conference calls, meetings, demos and proofs of concept (POCs) to represent HID at seminars, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Identify, drive, and optimize revenue from business opportunities by leveraging HID technologies.
  • Build trusting relationships with technology decision‑makers and influencers; gain deep understanding of channel partners’ technology and business strategies.
  • Collaborate with HID Product Marketing and Engineering teams on customer requirements and provide partner feedback to improve the portfolio.
  • Maintain a strong technical command of the HID portfolio; continuously learn new technical concepts using internal and external resources.
  • Listen and understand customers’ overall goals to design scalable, secure solutions for diverse environments.
Qualifications – Background
  • Excellent knowledge of the physical access control industry and ability to keep up with emerging trends.
  • Understanding and experience in the access control and/or IT sales channel market (preferred).
  • Technical and market experience in IT security and network solutions with an emphasis on authentication (preferred).
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to convey and understand complex technical concepts.
  • Understanding of channel‑based sales/marketing (plus).
  • Location within an hour of an international airport with connectivity.
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural and international environment.
Education & Experience
  • BEng or BSc Degree in a technology‑related field (preferred).
  • Minimum five years of hands‑on experience in sales engineering, systems engineering, technical sales, or related field.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in physical access control systems.
  • Proven, verifiable track record of successful technical sales leadership.
  • Strong time‑management, communication, decision‑making, presentation, and organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Professional appearance and presentation.
Required Technical Skills
  • Deep understanding of the components of a Physical Access Control Solution and how they inter‑communicate (RFID, electronics).
  • Knowledge of how software solutions interact via APIs.
  • Familiarity with digital data representation (bits, bytes, JSON, CSV, etc.).
  • Strong networking knowledge (routers, switches, TCP/IP, MQTT).
