Sales Support

A Carter Lumber Sales Support Associate is responsible for ensuring sales success by assisting Sales Specialists and Outside Sales Representatives with general sales and service activities within the assigned region. This includes processing orders and scheduling deliveries efficiently. A strong belief in the company's mission and goals is essential for this role.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in sales with building materials
• Friendly, outgoing personality
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities:

• Assist Sales Specialists by entering and placing orders
• Handle incoming service requests and schedule orders accordingly
• Use software to make revisions or quote small projects
• Ensure timely placement and delivery of all sales orders
• Communicate with vendors regarding discounts and processing
• Maintain open communication between Sales team, outside representatives, and customers
• Identify personal growth opportunities and learn about building products
• Complete required training and development courses
