About the Role
Sales Counselor – responsible for selling pre‑need and at‑need funeral services, cemetery services, property and merchandise. The role involves assisting families with funeral selections and attending services, while generating leads through walk‑ins, inbound calls, and proactive prospecting.

Pay and CompensationEstimated first‑year earnings: $55,000 – $65,000 (includes uncapped commission and earnings). Training pay at $18.00 per hour for six weeks.
Responsibilities- Build and maintain relationships with grieving families, guiding them through funeral planning and service selections.
- Meet and exceed sales targets for pre‑need and at‑need funeral services, cemetery services, property, and merchandise.
- Generate new leads through walk‑ins, inbound calls, and proactive market outreach.
- Attend services, coordinate with funeral professionals, and ensure high‑quality customer service.
- Track and report sales activity using the company CRM.
- Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Work some holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some additional education preferred (Business, Marketing, Sales).
- 1 year of sales experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle; mileage reimbursement provided.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook) required.
- Experience working in a CRM (lead management system preferred).
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
