Retail Associate

Summary / Objective

Our Retail Store Associates love animals and enjoy helping people care for them. In this role, you’ll be the friendly face that welcomes customers into the store, listens to their needs, and helps them find the right products to support the health and happiness of their animals. If you enjoy learning, connecting with people, and making a difference one customer at a time, this role could be a great fit for you.

• Warmly greet and engage with customers to understand their needs
• Share product knowledge and make thoughtful recommendations to support animal health
• Operate the cash register and computer to complete transactions accurately and efficiently
• Balance cash drawers with care and attention to detail
• Stock, organize, and merchandise shelves to keep the store looking its best
• Monitor and rotate dated products as needed
• Label and price products and shelves accurately
• Help keep the store clean, organized, and welcoming
  
  Participate in physical inventory counts
• Communicate clearly and courteously with customers and team members
• Follow company policies and safety guidelines
• Safely lift, carry, and move products weighing up to 50 pounds

• Strong attention to detail
• Clear and friendly communication skills
• High ethical standards and integrity
• Ability to problem-solve and think critically

• Knowledge of animals, animal care, animal health, or livestock is preferred
• Basic computer skills
• A positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for the work you do
• Willingness to learn about our products to better serve your customers
• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
