Job SummaryThe Central State University Agriculture Research Development Program (ARDP) is seeking multiple summer research assistants to assist with research projects. The summer research assistant will conduct diverse tasks associated with completing each program’s specific goals as directed by the supervisor. Tasks may include, but are not limited to, planting, cultivating, and harvesting plants (e.g., hemp, corn, etc.), collection of samples; chemical, biochemical, and genetic analyses;
design of materials or products; engaging research participants; data collection and entry; writing reports, and other tasks as appointed by the supervisor. Tasks may take place both in labs and in the field. The individual will work closely with the project supervisor to identify and execute daily tasks. Selected individuals are expected to work closely with other lab personnel and undergraduate students.
- Assist in experimental design
- Plan project execution
- Collect samples
- Produce outcomes under deadlines
- Enter, manage, and summarize data
- Prepare research findings for presentations and publications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor
- Complete CITI training
- BS in Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering or related field
- Experience working in the field of research specific to the project supervisor (varies)
